Projects, Work History
Tim’s area of specialization focuses on the application of geochemistry to shale formations, produced water, other available water resources, and the stimulation fluid chemistry deployed to optimize hydraulically fractured well performance in an environmentally sustainable manner. His work includes intellectual property associated with water reuse treatment technology, stimulation fluid chemistry, well bore hydraulic engineering, water storage technology, and laboratory work flow required to develop stimulation fluids to increase well productivity.

Before starting TightROCK Solutions LLC, Tim served at Chevron as a Chevron Fellow as well as Manager-Water and Chemical Technology for the AMBU unit which was purchased from Atlas Energy.  Prior to his service with Chevron, Tim worked at Marathon Oil Co. in various Subject Matter Expert positions in both Upstream and Downstream operations since October 1989. Prior to joining Marathon, Svarczkopf served as Product Manager for Petrolite Corporation and SE Region Business Unit Vice President for Ashland Chemical.
